Curator House

The design of the biodiversity center is guided by the need to create a space that promotes learning, reflection, and interaction for users of all ages. The maze-like interactive exhibition fosters curiosity and engagement, allowing visitors to explore at their own pace while connecting with Lapalala’s conservation mission. The materials and layout are inspired by the school's natural surroundings, creating a cohesive and calming environment. The Pause and Reflection Space emphasizes adaptability and comfort, with pods providing personalized experiences through lighting, heating, and sound. The dining and presentation areas are multifunctional, maximizing usability while maintaining flexibility. Every design element—be it sustainable cardboard sculptures in the library or the integration of tactile and visual stimuli—serves to educate, inspire, and connect visitors to nature.
